Flourishing Under Five is a dedicated team of six multilingual Family Support Sisters who provide culturally responsive care to immigrant and refugee families with children aged prenatal to five living in King County.

Together, we speak Dari, French, Arabic, Amharic, Tigrinya, Swahili, and Mai Mai—allowing us to connect with families in the languages they trust.

What We Do

We support mothers and caregivers from diverse backgrounds through personalized services that meet the unique needs of each family:

  • Developmental Screenings
Social, emotional, and cognitive assessments to ensure children are on track.

  • Support Groups

    • Monthly moms’ support groups

    • Quarterly dads’ circles for connection and shared learning

  • Home Visits
Meeting families where they are to build trust and offer guidance.

  • Case Management & Advocacy
Helping families navigate systems, access benefits, and advocate for their needs.

  • Language Support
Interpretation services so families can access resources in their own language.

  • Basic Baby Needs
Diapers, wipes, baby formula, and other essentials distributed throughout the year.

Our Mission

We help families flourish by offering compassionate, culturally rooted, and holistic support during the most critical years of child development. Through consistent care and community-building, we ensure every child gets a strong start no matter where their family’s journey began.
